Leathel trio retain title & Stewarts plus one take gold
The 2022 Men’s & Women’s Triples were held at the Carrefour terrains on 11th June in brilliant sunshine. Four teams took part in the Women’s event, each team playing the others twice, and Cassie & Jean Stewart and Nicky Maindonald took top spot with 5 wins plus 18. Joy Hart, Judy Dove & Glenda Killip were second on 3 wins plus 9, just ahead of Dawn Buckley, Alice Dilks & Brigitte Ibitson in third with 3 wins plus 6.
In the Men’s event, seven teams took part with Alan Lahiffe, Andy Limbrick & Mat Scholefield retaining the title they won in 2021 finishing on 5 wins plus 16. Second were Geoffroy Buffetrille, Ross Payne & Neil Selby with 4 wins plus 26 and just behind in third were Paul Bell, Matt Pinel & Callum Stewart with 4 wins plus 21.
