Mark Nicol takes first 2022 title
The first of the 2022 Island Championships was held at the Liberation Terrains on 14th May. The Singles event attracted 24 entries and saw some first class games, especially the final, which became a firing duel between Mark Nicol and Geoffroy Buffetrille. Eventually, Mark triumphed 13-12. In equal third place were Neil Selby who lost to Mark 6-13 and Alan Lahiffe, who lost to Geoffroy 4-13. The next of the Island Championships is the Men’s and Women’s Triples, at Carrefour on 11th June.
