The second of this year’s Island Championships, the Men’s & Women’s Triples, took place on Saturday 8th June at the Carrefour Terrains.
Four teams entered the women’s event, and each played six games, meeting every other team twice. First with five wins were Christine Eccles, Katrina Holden & Wendy Ritzema. Judy Dove, Joy Hart & Bridie Hunter came second with four wins and the bronze medal position was taken by Nicky Maindonald, Jean Stewart & Cassie Stewart-Le Gallais with three wins.

Nine teams entered the men’s competition and four preliminary timed rounds were played, with Geoffroy Buffetrille, Gary Cowburn & Matt Pinel (four wins); Brian Harris, Steve Leathem & Colin Myers (three wins); James Gennoe, Ross Payne & Neil Selby (three wins) and Andy Bellamy-Burt, Laurent Pellaton & Jake Romeril (two wins) going through to the semi-finals.
In the semis, Andy, Laurent & Jake beat Geoffroy, Gary & matt 13-6 and Brian, Colin & Steve narrowly lost out to James, Ross & Neil 13-12. The bronze position went to Geoffroy, Gary & Matt who beat Brian, Colin & Steve 13-10.
The trophy & 2024 title went to Andy, Laurent & Jake, beating James ,Ross & Neil 13-9.
