The year’s first Island Championships competition took place on Saturday 16th May at the Jersey Pétanque Club’s terrains.
In the Women’s event, seven took part and all played each other. Katrina Holden took the title, with last year’s winner Cassie Stewart-Le Gallais second and Nicky Maindonald third.

Twenty men took part in the men’s event, playing five preliminary rounds. The top eight went to the main competition with the next eight taking part in the Plate event. Laurent Pellaton won the plate event, with Callum Stewart taking the cup in the main event; Jake Romeril coming second and Andy Limbrick third.
