In the 2025 Veterans Triples, Brian Harris & Les Norman were attempting to win the trophy for the fifth consecutive time. Having done it twice with Gordon de Gruchy and twice with Colin Myers, this year with Francis Le Gresley.
Nine teams entered this year’s competition, held at St Mary’s terrains on Saturday 11th October.
After four timed games, the top four went through to the main event and four of the bottom five, into the “Plate” competition.
In this latter event, Alan Lahiffe, Keith Lajoie & Graham Walker and Derek & Joy Hart & Steve Foster, having won their respective semi-finals, faced off in the final.
After a slow start, Foster & the Harts pulled away and won the match 13-6.

In the main competition, the semi-finals saw Katrina & Trevor Holden & Ken Vibert (one of only two teams to have won all four preliminary games) take on Brian Harris, Les Norman & Francis Le Gresley. Unfortunately for Brian & Les, the fifth trophy in a row wasn’t to be as they were beaten 13-8.
In the other semi, Jean & Alex Stewart & Tony Morton, the only other team to win all their timed games, played Graham Toudic, Daniel Villalard & Keith White. This was a slightly closer game, with Jean, Alex & Tony winning 13-10.
The bronze medal play-off was a close game with Graham, Daniel & Keith eventually triumphing 13-11.
In the final, between the two teams to have won all their games all day, Jean, Alex & Tony proved stronger, to take the title 13-8
