Buffetrille & Pellaton Make it Four
– After winning the JPA Island Open Triples in 2021, 2022 & 2024 with Matt Buesnel, Geoffroy Buffetrille & Laurent Pellaton made it four wins, this year with Matt Pinel.
Sixteen teams entered this year’s competition, held at the Weighbridge terrains on Saturday 13th September.
After four timed rounds, the top eight teams went through to the main competition, with the bottom eight playing in the Plate event.
In the Plate final, Paul Waters, Vanessa Nash & Kevin Daly faced Lorna Limbrick, John Lane & James Rondel, who had won their semi-finals 13-7 and 13-6 respectively. Lorna, John & James repeated their semi score, winning 13-6.

In the main event, the semi-finals saw Buffetrille, Pellaton & Pinel beat Wendy Ritzema, Gary Cowburn & Brian Harris 13-1; whilst Andy Bellamy-Burt, Callum Stewart & Jake Romeril went one better, winning 13-0 against Alan Lahiffe, Andy Limbrick & Mat Scholefield.
The latter trio turned it around in the 3rd/4th play-off, beating Wendy, Gary & Brian 13-1.
The final was a closer affair with Geoffroy, Laurent & Matt taking the trophy against Andy, Callum & Jake, 13-9.
