Four in a Row for Brian & Les
– The 2024 Veterans Triples competition took place on Saturday 5th October at the St Mary terrains. Eight teams took part, with the top four after the preliminary rounds, going through to the semi finals.
In the semis, Jean & Alex Stewart & Tony Morton, who had four wins, plus 30 in the preliminaries, faced Daniel Villalard, Keith White & Graham Toudic (two plus 3). Jean, Alex & Tony won 13- 10.
In the other semi, Brian Harris, Colin Myers & Les Norman (three plus 17) played Alan Lahiffe, Andy Limbrick & Steve Leatham (three plus 10). Brian, Les & Colin had a relatively easy win, 13-1.
The third place play-off saw Andy, Alan & Steve beat Daniel, Keith & Graham 13-4 and in the final, Brian, Les & Colin took the title 13-6, repeating their 2022 win. Brian & Les with Gordon de Gruchy also picked up the trophy in 2021 & 2023.
